Meals in January

December was a month of holiday parties, neighbors bringing cookies over daily, gallons of egg nog from Costco, seasonal peppermint JoJos from Trader Joes, etc. Needless to say, Mark and I were ready for healthy start to 2016. I saw this two week 2015 clean eating plan from buzzfeed life on pinterest. It caught my eye because the photos were excellent and it looked like recipes I could enjoy. We started it at the beginning of the month and Mark and I both lost 7 pounds in the two weeks. We liked it so much that we continued on with their two week 2014 clean eating menu. And after that we'll be starting February with their one week 2016 clean eating menu. All menus are free to download and include shopping lists and detailed recipe instructions. We are feeling great and hoping to continue making healthy choices throughout the year. Perhaps that means chocolate malts every night are off the menu...
